Editor's Pick: My cat always loves darting into the kitchen, and with ordinary gates it just leaps right over. This one is 55 inches (140 cm) tall, so it can't jump over. The gaps between the bars are only 1.37 inches (3.5 cm), so kittens, small dogs, and even little ones can't squeeze through. It's pressure-mounted with no drilling, so you can install it with peace of mind even in a rental. The door stops on its own at 90 degrees and closes automatically below 90 degrees, so you can walk in and out with your hands full without needing a free hand to close the door.
