Windows 11 File Explorer Supports Dynamic File Sizes, Apps with Low Latency Mode, and More Updates

Windows 11 previously introduced several highly practical features in its preview builds. This Insider Preview Build 27791 was originally released on January 29, 2025. Although a year has passed, the real-time interaction logic it established still holds reference value in today's official releases.

🔹 File Explorer Supports Dynamic Sizing

Previously, when downloading or copying large files, you had to manually click refresh to see the size change. Starting with this build, the file size column supports real-time dynamic updates, allowing users to directly observe the file writing process, greatly enhancing the sense of operational feedback.

🔹 Low-Latency Performance Mode for Apps

Aimed at gamers and video editors, the system adds a new "Low Latency" profile. This feature is located in Settings > System > Power & Battery (or Performance settings on some versions). When enabled, the system optimizes task scheduling, reduces processing latency, and makes real-time applications more responsive.

🔹 Visual Interactions & System Fixes

Windows Spotlight adds more convenient desktop interaction elements, while the sharing window optimizes third-party app integration layouts to reduce steps. Additionally, Task Manager's lag under high load has been improved, and a memory leak issue in File Explorer has been fixed.
