The video kicks off with Donnie Yen, who was deeply involved in the game's production and performance, introducing the concept of "Wuxia Punk," followed by game producer Liang Qiwei providing a detailed breakdown of the story, world, characters, and combat mechanics. As this is a Sony-exclusive showcase, all gameplay footage was captured on PS5 Pro. The video also highlights the game's support for the PS5 controller's haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, as well as 3D audio for compatible audio devices.
Here's the gist:
Framed by the "Organization," Soul faces his former ally in a duel and is left with only 66 days to live. As he fights to survive, he gradually uncovers the secrets and conspiracies hidden within the martial arts world.
The game features 8 large maps, each independent yet seamlessly connected, with fast travel available via activated bells. Pang Town serves as a central hub of sorts.
There are 30 primary weapons and 25 secondary weapons, each with potential advantages or disadvantages against enemies. Weapons can be upgraded to unlock new mechanics and moves, and players can respec to reallocate their loadout. The skill tree system further enhances Soul's abilities, with nodes that synergize with one another.
Four difficulty levels are available. The easiest mode focuses on story immersion, letting everyone feel like a martial arts master. Harder modes offer a hardcore experience similar to fighting games, where bosses don't follow predictable combo patterns and adapt to the player's playstyle. The 66-day mode adds a limited resurrection system—each death costs one precious day, and running out means permanent death, ending the entire save file.
The latter part of the video showcases a distinctive and fairly complete lion dance boss fight with two phases, demonstrating a variety of combat mechanics.
Editor's take: This showcase does a much better job of building hype than the pre-order trailer from a few days ago. If you're following this game, you won't want to miss it!

: A 12-month console exclusivity is a standard business strategy, and the HK$328 price point is precisely anchored. 12个月的主机端独占是标准的商业策略,328港币的价格锚定很精准。
