[Expired]Meta Restarts Smartwatch Project Codename Malibu 2

News from February 19, 2026: Meta plans to officially launch a new smartwatch this year (2026). According to a leak from The Information, this decision stemmed from a high-level strategic meeting convened by Zuckerberg at his private mansion in Hawaii late last year.

The project internally codenamed Malibu 2 has now officially returned. Meta previously halted related research and development in 2022 due to strategic downsizing, but following the success of the Ray-Ban smart glasses collaboration, they've decided to once again push forward with a more mature wearable form factor, directly challenging the Apple Watch's industry position.

: What's so challenging about Apple and Samsung? They're just electronic junk that needs charging every day. If you want a real challenge, go for Garmin. Otherwise, it's all just advertising. Picking weak opponents to challenge shows you lack confidence.
