: You think it's trash because you're simply not the target user. No one expects to buy a productivity Mac for $599. But for many people, this computer is absolutely sufficient. For example, my wife works in a Fortune 500 pharmaceutical company doing experiments; the crappy Dell the company provided is far worse than this. At home, she uses a 10-year-old MacBook Air just for browsing the web and streaming shows. And she's used to using Macs. My two elementary school kids don't like Windows, and the Neo is enough for them. For parents, buying a $599 Neo for the kids is also cheaper than an MBA. When they go to college, I'll upgrade them to MacBook Pros. I personally use a company-provided M2 Max with 96GB RAM and a 4TB SSD, nearly top-of-the-line. I wouldn't use the Neo even if it were free, but for my wife and kids, I think the Neo is very suitable. 你觉得垃圾是因为你压根不是目标用户呀。也没人指望599能买个生产力苹果吧。但是对很多人来说，这个电脑绝对够了。比如我媳妇500强药企做实验的，公司配的烂dell比这个差远了，她在家用的10年前的老air,就浏览个网页，刷刷剧。而她也习惯用苹果电脑。我家俩小学生，不喜欢windows, 用neo也够了，对家长来说，给孩子买599的neo也比MBA省钱。孩子上大学，我会给她们升级成macbook pro. 我自己用的是公司配的m2 max 96G, 4T硬盘，接近顶配，neo免费给我都不用，但是对我媳妇和孩子，我觉得neo很适合

: Comparing Mac and Windows based on specs is meaningless. Mac is close to UNIX, and for many users, the experience is much better than many Windows systems. PC gamers, on the other hand, wouldn’t even consider Mac. Mac and PC are essentially two different camps, catering to different groups. For me, a $600 Windows laptop is downright unusable, but a $600 Neo, as a portable device for streaming shows and browsing the web, offers a pretty decent experience. This Neo definitely has its market. Many have mentioned students and Chromebooks, but there’s also the middle-aged and elderly demographic, like my parents’ generation, who genuinely have no need for high specs—simplicity and ease of use matter most. If you think Windows is more hassle-free than Mac, then I can only say you’re just being argumentative. 拿Mac和windows比配置就是没意义。Mac 接近UNIX, 对很多用户来说，体验比很多windows好很多。而pc游戏玩家，根本不会考虑mac。mac 和pc本身就是两个阵营，对应不同的群体。对我来说600刀的windows难用到底，但是600刀的neo，做个便携本，刷刷剧，上上网，体验还不错。这个neo还是很有市场的，很多人提到了学生chromobook，还有个群体就是中老年，比如我父母那代人，对配置真没需求，省心最重要。你要是觉得windows比mac省心，那我只能说你杠精了
