The stainless steel we use is highly resistant to corrosion and rust, but repeated high temperatures, detergents, and intense mechanical action in the dishwasher can affect the sharpness of the blade. If you wash the knife together with other metal cutlery, the collision could also damage the edge. Uneven rinsing in the dishwasher may leave watermarks on the blade as well. For better knife maintenance, we suggest hand washing. The blade surface features triple-layer polishing for a smoother, finer finish than regular knives, making it easier to rinse and better at resisting rust. The spine, tip, and heel of the knife have all been rounded and protected, so hand washing is quick, easy, and efficient.
