Do you remember Ford's rumored full-size three-row electric SUV? The project was supposed to launch in 2025 but was canceled before its debut due to cooling market conditions. However, it hasn't completely disappeared. Former Ford executive Doug Field has been using it as his LinkedIn background image for over a year since 2025.

🔹 Ford Shifts Focus to Hybrid Fleet
By the end of 2025, Ford adjusted its strategy, planning to equip almost all models with multi-energy power systems by 2030. The highly anticipated next-generation F-150 Lightning will also transform into an extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) with a built-in generator.
Ford is currently transitioning to the Universal EV platform, aiming to create more price-competitive models. The first mid-size pickup truck based on this architecture is expected to launch in 2027, which will show how this SUV project has influenced the design of subsequent models.
