The "Welcome Home" event in New York just wrapped up. This was a small in-person event with no livestream, and the pricing and shipping dates for the entire Apple Smart Home collection were revealed right away.

1. HomeView Apple's first home control screen

7-inch Liquid Retina display paired with a 12MP FaceTime camera. The most practical feature is family member recognition: it supports up to 6 people, using voice and facial recognition to determine who is looking at the screen, then automatically switches to their calendar, reminders, and photos. Guest mode automatically hides private information. Security scenarios are also covered, with one screen able to display 9 live camera feeds simultaneously.

In terms of design, the desktop version takes an iMac G4 retro approach: a circular base plus a metal arm with adjustable angle. The wall-mounted version tucks the speaker into the flat base. Four color options: Gray / Silver / Starlight / Rose Gold (wall-mounted version only comes in Gray and Silver). Reports say it packs an A18 chip + 8GB of memory.

2. HomePod mini 2 The most affordable entry point

S10 chip (same as Apple Watch Series 10), upgraded Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 6, Thread and Matter support, with colors expanded to five: Green / Pink / Blue / White / Midnight Blue. The exterior is basically unchanged from the 2020 model. This is the first product in the collection you can get your hands on, and it's also the cheapest HomeKit entry hub for new customers.

3. New Apple TV 4K No price drop here

Four built-in microphones let you call out to Siri hands-free without a remote or HomePod; surround sound capability upgraded. A17 Pro chip + 8GB of memory + Wi-Fi 7, and the Siri Remote will also get a redesign. Pre-orders are open now, shipping on November 13.

4. Home Collection: An accessory line manufactured by LG and Schneider

Apple isn't making the accessories itself. It teamed up with LG Electronics + Schneider Electric to launch a full product line. Tap your iPhone to auto-pair, everything runs through the Home app, no separate app download needed, no separate account registration needed, and it's end-to-end encrypted. The full line will roll out in the US and Canada starting in December, with some items not arriving until early 2027. The color palette is unified in Essence Graphite and Essence Silver, with the indoor camera adding a white option.
