Apple product launch event Oct. 28

Apple's Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing, Greg Joswiak, officially announced on x.com that the company will hold its second product launch event of the month on October 28 at 1 PM Eastern Time in Los Angeles.

This event is expected to unveil:

MacBook Pro with an OLED display
14" MacBook Pro equipped with the M6 chip
iMac equipped with the M6 chip
iPad mini 8 with an OLED display

The 14" and 16" MacBook Pro are expected to get a major redesign, featuring OLED displays, touchscreen support for the first time, M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, and Dynamic Island, with a noticeably lighter body. These two MacBook Pro models may come with Apple's C1X or C2 modem, supporting built-in cellular connectivity.

The 24-inch iMac is expected to feature the M6 chip and come in all-new color options.

The iPad mini 8 is expected to feature an OLED display, A20 Pro chip, 12GB of RAM, IP-rated water resistance for the first time, a landscape-oriented front camera, and an all-new vibrating speaker system, with Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6 wireless connectivity, and a cellular version using Apple's in-house C1X or C2 baseband.
