Paid about $480 in tax upfront when ordering, and got a $500 Costco gift card. No activation fees or any of that junk. Like I use AT&T — 7 people in my family are on it — so I can maximize the value when upgrading phones. For example, this year when I upgraded to the 18pm, I could trade in a 14pm for $1,200. Next year when I switch to the Samsung wide fold, I can trade in an S25+ or 24+ for $1,900. Anyway, just use whatever phone gives you the lowest cost and the most trade-in value that year.
