Stop Being Bombarded by Apps | Hidden Settings for Apple Watch
Raise your wrist to check the time, only to find the screen taken over by a food delivery progress bar or music player?
This is the default behavior of Live Activities and the Smart Stack introduced in watchOS 10~
With a few simple adjustments, you can keep your watch face clean and clear.
Open 【Settings】 ➡️ 【General】 ➡️ 【Auto-Launch】
| Adjustment Category | Suggested Action | Function Description |
| Live Activities | Turn off "Auto-Launch Live Activities" | Active tasks no longer forcibly take over the watch face; you can still swipe up to view them. |
| Media Apps | Disable auto-launch for media apps | Solves the annoyance of the watch face automatically switching to the playback control interface when listening to music. |
| Water Lock Mode | Choose to stay on the watch face | Models with depth sensors will no longer force-launch the app when entering water. |
At the bottom of the "Live Activities Settings," you can configure individual apps like Alarm, Mindfulness, Compass, Workout, and more.
Based on your usage frequency, decide which apps are allowed to auto-launch the Smart Stack or the app itself.
By adjusting these three dimensions, your Apple Watch will return to its core function of "telling time," providing smart alerts only when needed.
