: The problem with Nikon is. They spend lot of time, refining the f1.8 prime and f4 zoom lens, to give ultra resolution with massive size and super expensive. But, actually, for what I thought, cheap, small sized f1.8 prime/f4 zoom will be more welcomed by customers. I think the reason nikon did this, is because they not yet find a way to build f1.2 prime and f2 zoon with good resolution. That's how canon win this game. Both budget and rich person can find what they need. How bad can a f1.8 prime perform? Normally, double the price and double the size, only gives you like 5% increase on the corner resolution while the prime is already sharp enough for daily use. If someone want that high resolution, they definitely as well need bigger aperture. The problem with Nikon is.
