Barnes & Noble Summer Reading JOURNAL

• Barnes & Noble.com's 2026 Summer Reading Program for elementary school students is now underway. Kids in grades 1–6 can complete the official reading log and bring it to a store to redeem a free selected children's book. Books borrowed from the library also count.
• Pick up a copy of the Summer Reading Journal at a store or download it here.
• The program runs from 7/1 to 8/31. Please bring the completed form to a store for redemption.

Editor's Pick: Summer is the perfect time for reading, so why not help your kids recharge with some great books? Every summer, Barnes & Noble encourages students in grades 1–6 to read more. After finishing 8 books and filling out the form, bring it to the store to receive a free book as a reward. The form asks kids to write the title and author of each book, as well as their favorite part or a memorable moment from the story.
