Editor's Pick: Meta recently launched this Muse, and I didn't have high expectations at first, but after actually using it: this little thing really has something going for it.

Its biggest difference from regular AI is that you don't have to tell it step by step what to open first, where to click next, and then what to do—most of the time, you can just throw your goal at it.

Here are a few small examples:

1. Calling customer service: hand off the most annoying communication

You can have Muse directly handle customer service processes for you, such as contacting rental car companies, carriers, or other merchants, and communicating refunds or service cancellations according to your requirements.

Someone used it to contact Avis and ended up recovering a $75 refund.

Someone successfully negotiated down their insurance.

Currently, the calling feature is mainly available to US users and is in a phased rollout.

2. Selling secondhand items on Marketplace—it negotiates better than I do

Muse's automation capabilities on Facebook Marketplace feel more complete in practice than I imagined.

During testing, it helped me list 12 new items, took over 5 existing listings, served 65 buyers in total, sent 142 messages, and has already successfully sold/given away 6 items, earning $175 in revenue, with 3 more deals close to completion that are expected to bring in another $185.

Many everyday communications don't require manual confirmation one by one. Muse can automatically reply to buyers in the background, discuss offers, and move transactions forward. When it involves more private information such as meeting times and locations, it will ask for human confirmation, preserving a certain level of control between automation and privacy.

It also automatically organizes transaction records, including items, prices, buyers, times, and revenue, and syncs updates to a Spreadsheet. When handling multiple buyers at once, it can also summarize and remind you based on previous chat records, avoiding duplicate quotes or forgetting deals that have already been settled, and it can even automatically create Calendar events to schedule meeting times.

3. Job hunting: let it scan job postings for you every day

If you're currently job hunting, you can treat Muse as a continuously running job search assistant.

For example:

Scan once every morning and evening → find new positions that match your criteria → filter jobs → organize job information → prepare applications according to your requirements.

For job sites that add new positions every day, the biggest value is not having to repeat the same searches yourself every day.

Of course, before actually submitting applications, it's best to keep human confirmation for parts involving personal information and job application materials.

4. Email organization: even 30,000 emails can finally be tackled

If your inbox has turned into a "spam museum," you can hand email organization over to Muse.

For example:

Clean up marketing emails → find emails you haven't used in a long time → organize by topic → mark important emails → create clearer categories.

If you also connect Notion, you can further organize important information into your own knowledge base.

5. Flights, hotels, and travel arrangements

Before traveling, you can directly tell Muse your goals:

"Help me find flights that fit my budget."

"Compare prices across several dates."

"Organize my flights, hotel, and activities into my calendar."

You can even have it complete the actual booking process.

In the future, instead of opening a dozen web pages to check things yourself, you'll first tell it your requirements and then let it run the process for you.

One last tip

When using it for the first time, you don't need to connect all your accounts right away.

You can start with low-risk, low-cost tasks whose results you can check at any time, such as organizing email, making a daily news digest, monitoring activities, organizing your calendar, and finding deals.

Once you're familiar with how it executes tasks, you can gradually hand over more complex tasks to it.

Because a truly useful AI Agent isn't about "letting AI do everything," but about finding the things you don't want to do, do repeatedly, easily forget, and that are worth automating.
