: I know of two types of over-ear headphones: closed-back (non-open), where the earcup housing is sealed (no small holes on the casing). This design tends to produce a more muffled sound, but the advantage is better isolation from external noise. The other type is open-back, where the earcup housing is open to the external air. The benefit of this design is a more transparent sound, but the downside is that external noise can interfere with the listening experience. 我所知道的头戴式耳机有两种，一种是closed-back（非开放式）, 耳罩外壳是封闭式的（外壳没有小孔）。这种结构声音比较闷，可是好处是可以比较好的隔绝外部声音。另一种是open-back，也就是开放式。耳罩外壳和外部空气是相通的，这种设计优点是声音比较通透，缺点是外部声音会影响听感
