PROLED XDR display (tandem OLED) + Mac's first-ever touchscreen + Dynamic Island, starting at $2,899 for the 14-inch, pre-orders open now, on sale November 6. Apple once said "a touchscreen Mac is a mistake," but now it's genuinely a game-changer.
This is the biggest design overhaul in MacBook Pro history. The chip continues with the M5 Pro/M5 Max just released in March, but the display, interaction, and chassis are all completely redesigned — OLED has finally arrived on MacBook Pro.

❤️The touchscreen is the biggest change! The sensors are built directly into the panel — not an added touch layer! Latency is so low it feels "like touching the content itself." Designers can draw directly on screen, musicians can play instruments on screen, and developers can test iOS app touch experiences on the spot.
🔥Display specs are maxed out! 2000 nits peak brightness, handles both HDR and SDR; 10 million:1 contrast ratio, dark details stay crisp; individually calibrated at the factory, switch between P3 and Adobe RGB with one preset. Color grading, photo editing, prepress, even medical imaging DICOM mode — things that used to require hauling around a Pro Display XDR can now be done and carried with the lid closed.

: I hate touchscreens. 讨厌触控屏
: I don't hate it, but I think it's unnecessary. A touchscreen is no better than just getting a high-end iPad. Having a keyboard and then adding a touchscreen is just doing something pointless for the sake of it. 我不讨厌，但是觉得没必要、触摸屏还不如做个高端的ipad，有键盘再配触摸屏真是脱裤子放屁找事

: The work computer is a 16-inch M2 Max, and it's been three years, so it's time for a replacement. Last time it cost over 5,000, but the same configuration now costs over 8,000. Not sure if it'll get approved. 单位配的电脑16寸m2 max 用了三年，可以换了。上次配的花了5000多，同样配置要8000多了，不知道能不能批
