"Phantom Blade Zero" Pre-Order PV Unveiled, Donnie Yen as Supervisor and Performer

This footage was captured in real-time on a PS5, showing the protagonist Soul riding a carriage to Pang Town, encountering pursuers sent by his former organization along the way. This scene has appeared in previous videos, but this time it directly showcases the chase sequence and the intense combat within the cramped carriage space. The mid-video CG cutscene introduces various factions through dialogue, as well as the background of the protagonist, whose life is on a countdown, still striving for the welfare of the world. The latter half features a rapid montage highlighting different weapons, execution moves, and bosses, notably retaining the feature of acquiring weapons and equipment from defeated enemies.

At the end, the protagonist battles Mo Yuan amidst a sea of flames, revealing that Mo Yuan will be performed by martial arts superstar Donnie Yen through facial and motion capture (the voice acting is also a pleasant surprise). Donnie Yen has served as the supervisor for "Phantom Blade Zero" since 2023, and his team, the Yen Family, has been deeply involved in the game's development. During the fight, Mo Yuan uses techniques like the vertical punch and double fists striking both ears, which will surely give players a stronger sense of déjà vu when they reach that point in the game after release.

Pre-order bonuses include accessories and cosmetic items.

Deluxe Edition bonuses include exclusive cosmetics, art book, and original soundtrack.

PC system requirements have also been announced. The minimum requirements are quite friendly, with the slightly more demanding requirement being that the game must be installed on an SSD. The team announced the delay in June to polish the quality and absorb as much optimization pressure as possible.

PlayStation officially announced a dedicated State of Play for "Phantom Blade Zero" on August 18 at 10 AM Beijing Time, where more content will be revealed.
