: Hello! The situation you encountered typically occurs after the machine has been unused for a period (e.g., overnight). RO stands for Reverse Osmosis, and its filtration process essentially goes 'against natural laws.' Our product's RO filtration uses a booster pump to counteract osmotic pressure, forcing water from a high concentration (raw water) to a low concentration (pure water). When the machine stops, the booster pump turns off, and forward osmosis occurs on both sides of the RO membrane. This process causes the solution concentrations on both sides of the membrane to equalize: the higher concentration raw water decreases, and the lower concentration pure water increases. Consequently, the first cup of pure water will have a relatively higher concentration. This is a normal natural phenomenon, known in the industry as 'overnight water' or TDS creep. Our P800 model is designed with an automatic flushing function to minimize this effect. If you are concerned about the readings, we recommend letting the water run for 1 minute before collecting it for drinking. Please rest assured that even if the TDS is slightly high, the water quality remains safe.
