: I bought $342 worth of items from this store, then DHL asked me to pay $112 in taxes. Isn't it supposed to be tax-free for purchases under $800 per person per day? Here's the CBP link: 网页链接>> I contacted both DHL and Residenza725, and they said it's because of multiple packages. But on the same day, another package I received had import duty included, and the total value of all packages that day didn’t exceed $800. Also, I checked DHL’s documents, and they didn’t clearly explain why I was taxed. Even if I were taxed, it should only be on the amount exceeding $800, but DHL’s bill directly charged 27.7% on $344 plus a bunch of service fees. The store’s customer service told me to contact DHL myself—they wouldn’t handle it. Anyway, girls, steer clear of this store. After adding taxes, the price is about the same as elsewhere, plus you have to deal with this nonsense.
