: An interesting story: I've been buying things from Nordstrom for 14 years, and this is the first time I bought something from Rack. Not only did they send the wrong item, but they also made me pay for the return shipping, and they won't even give me the item I actually bought. Then Xiaohongshu secretly read my Instagram data and pushed me a post from a white Nordstrom salesperson in Seattle. I wrote about my experience and expressed that I wouldn't buy from Nordstrom again, because buying from them ultimately fattens up a big company, whose subsidiary then turns around and causes me financial and emotional loss. As a result, a Chinese Nordstrom salesperson couldn't sit still. She first came to say that Nordstrom Rack and Nordstrom are unrelated. I mean, if you just Google it, you'd know! Are sales associates this ignorant? After I pointed out that they are the same company, she then questioned why I was getting upset. Her "allies" she brought in said I shouldn't cause trouble for someone (her manager) under their post? I had a million question marks in my mind. Isn't it your company that's causing trouble for the customer? This Chinese salesperson is quite slick at gaslighting. Even someone like me, who doesn't work in the service industry, would turn a crisis into an opportunity: "Dear customer, please calm down. Rack's handling of this matter was indeed unprofessional. What products are you looking to buy at Nordstrom recently? I'd be happy to assist you. I'll do my best to secure any samples and discounts for you, hoping to make up for your bad experience." But no, they chose to go off the beaten path, repeatedly blaming the customer for being wrong, and refusing to acknowledge their own mistakes. I mean, for someone in the service industry, if they're unwilling to admit their own mistakes when they say something wrong, what would their attitude be like towards customers if other things go wrong?… 有趣的故事：在nordstrom买了14年东西了，第一次在rack买了个东西，寄错了不说，还要我垫付邮费寄回去，我买的东西也不会给我。结果小红书偷偷读我ins的数据，给我推了个西雅图nordstrom白人sales的帖子。我就写了下我的经历，并且表达了以后不会再在nordstrom买东西，因为买了最后养肥了大公司，旗下小公司转头给我金钱和心情上的损失。 结果nordstrom华人sales坐不住了。先过来说nordstrom rack和nordstrom没关系，咱就说但凡google一下你就知道啊！sales这么无知么。我指出这两家是一家公司后，她又质问我怎么急了？她拉来的友军说我不该在别人（她的manager）帖子下面给manager造成困扰？我心中一万个问号？不是你们工作的公司给顾客造成困扰么？华人sales这煤气灯玩儿的挺溜啊。 我一个不干服务业的都会把危机转化成商机“顾客您好，消消气，rack这事做的确实不地道。您看您最近想要在nordstrom购买些什么产品，我来帮您。有什么可以争取的sample和折扣我都帮您尽力争取，希望能借此弥补您不好的体验。” 人家偏剑走偏锋，屡次职责顾客是错的，她们是不是错了闭口不谈。 咱就说做服务业的，自己说错话了都不愿意认错，这样是其他事弄错了，对顾客的态度大概会是？…

Sales associates of all races in the US try their best to give discounts to people of their own ethnicity, but only some Chinese sales associates specifically target Chinese customers, it's truly absurd! They even intentionally claim they can't speak Chinese, speaking terrible English! 说个笑话让大家都看看，sales们不要对号入座哦！美国各种族的sales碰上同族的人都会尽力打折扣，只有部分华人sales专门针对华人客户，真是醉了！还要故意说自己不会说中文，一口烂的要死的英文！
: It took me a while to read through it all. Sis, first, a hug. All I can say is this salesperson is just not smart. Compared to the major department stores in the US, I personally think ND is okay. Before 2020, I liked to visit their physical stores when I had time, and most of the sales associates I met were quite enthusiastic. I've also been to Rack's physical stores a few times; the experience wasn't great, things were messy. Although people often post about finding great deals, like buying designer brands for $1, I, for one, don't have that much time. Plus, I mostly shop online now and don't go out much. ND's free shipping on any order and easy returns are also convenient. For many similar items, I buy them from ND instead of M or B. I still have an ND gift card from late last year that I haven't used up. At a time like this, shouldn't sales associates be treating customers like gods? And they're still arguing so arrogantly—do they want to retire early? 花了点时间看完，姐妹先抱抱，只能说这个sales太不聪明，要说美国这几大百货比起来，个人觉得ND算OK的，20年以前有空喜欢去她家实体店逛，遇到的大部分的sales都挺热情的。rack也去过几次实体店，体验不好，东西摆的乱八七糟，虽说经常有人po自己淘到好东西什么1刀买大牌之类的，我反正是没那么有空啦。而且现在基本都在网上买不大出门，ND任意单免运退货也方便，有很多同类的东西我就在她家买不去M家和B家，我现在还有去年底的ND的礼卡没用完呢。要说这种时候，sales不是更应该把客户当上帝么？还这么盛气凌人的狡辩，是想早点回家养老吗？
