[Late July] Bacon Habanero
Rating: ⭐️⭐️ — 📋: This Late July Tortilla Chips has a healthier feeling due to its organic and clean ingredients. The texture is delicately crunchy. However, the bacon and habanero flavors are mild to almost has a disappearance in the taste. Although there is some heat in the chips, such hint dissipates very quickly and misses the citrusy spiciness from habanero. If you are expecting a smoky or a kick of spiciness, this fails to satisfy your desires. Worse, there’s an unpleasant after taste that remains in the back of your tongue. On the bright side, this flavored tortilla chips is seasoned with the right amount of salts. It is not too salty for those who have mild tastebuds. Also, there is a light sweetness similar to Frito Lay Honey BBQ, but not exactly the BBQ flavor. For me, it’s a bit messy with the sweetness and the saltiness. Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ — 📋: The yogurt has a silky smooth texture once fully stirred. The consistency is one level thicker than the cream in cream puffs, but still fairly light. The taste might be the deal breaker for those who enjoy sweet yogurt. This one is completely the opposite of flavored Noosa and Chobani. Similar to other sugar free and healthier brands of yogurt such as Siggi’s, this yogurt has a tart taste with no sweetness. This yogurt could be good eaten by itself or pair with fruits, making a partfait or overnight oats! Your call! — 📍: Central Market, TX — 💵: promotion 2 for $3, pretax

[Calbee] Shrimp Chips
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ — 📋: This Calbee Shrimp Chips is undoubtedly almost every Asian’s childhood snack. This could be compared to American Cheeto. Similar to the original version, the texture is light, airy, and crispy. As for the flavor wise, there is still a shrimpy taste remains but with a hinch of black pepper. Yes, the shrimp flavor pairs beautifully with the black pepper taste. However, the yuzu flavor is pretty mild to almost invisible. But once in awhile, you get will a touch of citrusy. But noted, this one is definitely more on the salty and peppery spicy side rather than a fresh citrusy yuzu one. The main star of this snack is the black pepper! Of course, this snack is definitely not friendly for any diet. But is your best friend when you are on your cheat days.
