AP/AR Accountant 会计
Responsibilities
- Prepare customer statements, bills and invoices, and reconcile expenses to the general ledger
- Calculate and post receipts to appropriate general ledger accounts and verify details of transactions, such as funds received and total account balances
- Prepare monthly receivable statements
- Compile and sort documents, prepare and post invoices and credit and debit memos
- Make copies of all checks, complete deposit slips and make bank deposits
- Work with collections personnel to verify the status of delinquent accounts and solicit payments on overdue accounts
- Calculate, post business transactions, process invoices, verify financial data for use in maintaining accounts payable records, and provide other clerical support necessary to pay the obligations of the organization
- Assemble invoices to be completed for payment
- Review invoices and requisitions for satisfactory payment approval
- Maintain copies of vouchers, invoices or correspondence necessary for files
- Clarify any questionable invoice items, prices or receiving signatures
- Obtain proper information and/or data regarding invoice payments
- Verify and calculate all extensions and totals on invoices (calculating and taking discounts when applicable),
- Check vendor files for any previous payments and assign voucher numbers
- Prepare vouchers listing invoice number, date, vendor address, item description, amounts and coding per accounting policies and procedures
- Reconcile bank statements
- 2 year Degree in Accounting or related field (Preferred)
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in AR/AP or related position (Preferred)
- Familiarity with accounting programs and software (FinancialForce)
- English and Mandarin Bilingual (Preferred)
- Knowledge of general accounting principles
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and oral, in a professional manner
- Must be able to demonstrate a high level of organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Must be detail-oriented
- Ability to follow-through on key responsibilities and provide excellent customer service
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with people at all levels both internally and within the customer environment
- Strong Microsoft Excel software skills
