B&W's noise cancellation is still far behind. For ANC, I really don't want the mainstream choice to be only Bose, but that requires a significant premium. The "big three": Bose's sound quality is a bit lacking; Apple (AirPods Max implied) is clamping and heavy; Sony's LDAC can perfectly play 320Kbps audio (if not deliberately A/B tested, you can't tell the difference from lossless), battery life is excellent, weight is unbeatable, female vocals are not as good as Bose, but it's only one-fifth the price of Bose .
