To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the LUMIX series, Panasonic today announced the new LUMIX L10 fixed-lens camera (DC-L10). While similar to the LX100II, this camera features the sensor from the GH7, along with a newly designed processor, optics, and control system. It offers optical image stabilization, a maximum continuous shooting speed of 30 frames per second, and can record 5.7K60p, 4K120P, and full HD 240p video. It uses SD cards and weighs approximately 508 grams.

Despite its compact size, the LUMIX L10 is equipped with the same 4/3-type backside-illuminated (BSI) CMOS image sensor as the LUMIX GH7, with an effective resolution of approximately 20.5 megapixels. Paired with the latest generation image processor, it supports a variety of features and functions:

  • ✅ Dynamic Range Boost

  • ✅ Phase Hybrid Autofocus

  • ✅ Real-time LUT and Magic LUT

  • ✅ 30FPS High-Speed Burst with Electronic Shutter

  • ✅ Real-time Recognition AF (including animals, vehicles, urban sports, etc.)

  • ✅ 5.6K 60p, 5.2K 30p 4:3, Uncropped 4K 120p Video

  • ✅ Approx. 2.36M-dot OLED EVF and 1.84M-dot Rotating Touchscreen

  • ✅ Same BLK22 Large Battery as Mirrorless Cameras

  • ✅ Compatible with External Flash and Digital Microphones

  • ✅ In-Camera Focus Stacking

It also supports a multi-aspect ratio function. By using a sensor larger than the lens's imaging circle, it maintains a consistent angle of view across 4:3, 3:2, and 16:9 aspect ratios (with the left and right edges cropped and the angle of view narrowed at 1:1). Additionally, the L10 is the first LUMIX camera to feature a vertical orientation UI, equipped with an approximately 1.84-million-pixel flip screen that supports seamless switching between horizontal and vertical shooting.

: Crazy for money. The LX100 was a machine worth 3-4 thousand back in the day.

: Why doesn't Lao Song just rob us? At 1499, you could buy a full-frame S9.
