Recently, Sony launched the next-generation full-frame mirrorless image quality flagship Alpha 7R VI and its first constant-aperture super-telephoto zoom G Master lens, the FE 100-400mm F4.5 GM OSS.
Official description: The Alpha 7R VI features a newly developed approximately 66.8-megapixel full-frame stacked Exmor RS™ CMOS image sensor and is equipped with the next-generation BIONZ XR2™ image processor. While maintaining high-resolution performance, it further optimizes color reproduction, noise control, and more. In fields such as landscape, portrait, and wildlife photography, the Alpha 7R VI delivers detailed and clear image performance. The Alpha 7R VI uses a new high-capacity battery, the NP-SA100, paired with a next-generation high-performance power system, supporting longer shooting times and faster charging for a more worry-free shooting experience.
Official description: The FE 100-400mm F4.5 GM OSS is Sony's 24th G Master lens, covering the 100-400mm focal range with a constant F4.5 aperture. It not only delivers the signature excellent resolution and beautiful bokeh of G Master lenses but also achieves autofocus (AF) that is approximately 3 times faster than the FE 100-400mm F4.5-5.6 GM OSS lens. The lens weighs about 1,840 grams and features an internal zoom structure, with a stable center of gravity that provides excellent handheld shooting capabilities. The FE 100-400mm F4.5 GM OSS allows photographers to capture decisive moments in diverse and complex environments such as wildlife, aviation, sports, and photojournalism, thanks to its high-speed AF and continuous shooting, super-telephoto zoom range, and excellent image quality, expanding creative possibilities.

回复 @匿名用户 : It's pretty good for everyday casual shooting, especially since it's so much cheaper than the A12. But Sony knows very well that for serious sports photography, you need to consider these factors: a 1.25-second buffer; the CMOS readout speed is only 1/4 of the Z8/Z9/R52/A12; in 30fps continuous shooting mode, shooting lossless compressed RAW or HQ only gives you 30 AF/AE calculations per second, which is quite far from the 120 calculations of the A1 and A9 series. 日常拍拍挺好了，毕竟比A12便宜那么多。不过索尼心里贼清楚，要是严肃的运动拍摄，要考虑这几项了：1.25s的缓存；CMOS读取速度只有Z8/Z9/R52/A12的1/4；30FPS连拍模式下，拍摄无损压缩RAW或HQ都只有每秒30次AF/AE，离A1和A9系列的120次差得有点远。
