Editor's Pick: If you're looking for a small weekend project to do at home, this wool felting kit is a great fit. The 20 colors of wool each come in individually sealed bags, 3 grams per color, fluffy and easy to needle-felt. The tools are very complete, including coarse, medium, and fine needles, a foam pad, finger guards, and templates, plus a storage box so all the small pieces won't get lost. Needle-felting a little animal or a keychain as a gift is also fun—just put on the finger guards and take your time.
