Following the now-retired Technic Land Rover Defender 42110 released in October 2019, LEGO has once again partnered with Land Rover to bring us this ICONS collections classic version of the Defender. The built model measures 6.3 inches (16 cm) high x 6.3 inches (16 cm) deep x 12.6 inches (32 cm) long, making it smaller than the 42110 which measured 8.7 inches (22 cm) high x 7.9 inches (20 cm) deep x 16.5 inches (42 cm) long. While the 42110 was based on the 2020 model, this 10317 set is a faithful interpretation of the original 1983 model, featuring a sage green body, white roof, black wheel trims, and brown interior. This immersive project allows LEGO enthusiasts and car fans to create, customize, and display their own collector's item. This ICONS creation features front-wheel steering and suspension systems—characteristics typically found in Technic sets—greatly enhancing playability while challenging builders' skills.
