Editor's Pick: When kids press down with the wooden knife, the fruits and vegetables split apart with a satisfying "crunch"—it really feels like cutting real food. The tomato, apple, steak, and baguette pieces all stick back together for repeated cutting, and kids can pack everything back into the storage box so the table doesn't end up cluttered. The wood is smoothly sanded with no rough edges, and the water-based paint has no harsh smell. For a child just past three who's getting into pretend play, this can keep them happily playing on their own for quite a while.
