For example, if your main drive (2T/4T) is already partitioned and you don't want to reorganize the layout, but need to install a secondary system without messing with EFI partitions or other hassles, the simplest solution is to buy another drive. If 512GB is sufficient, why force yourself to buy another 2TB? Not everyone has your budget or drive bays to exclusively buy 2TB+ drives. 只是提供一个选项，没必要像户口本刚少人一样冲。我举个例子，主盘2T/4T已经分好区而且不想重新改布局，但是需要另外装个副系统不想折腾EFI分区之类的麻烦事，最简单的方案就是再买一块盘，512G就够用的情况下我为啥非要再买一个2TB的？都跟你一样有钱有盘位全买2T起步？

回复 @匿名用户 : Desktop PCs usually only have two M.2 slots directly connected to the CPU, so M.2 slots are quite valuable. It's recommended to get drives 2TB or larger. This 500GB can be used for the OS, but future expansion will be troublesome, making it quite impractical. Hence, it's e-waste. 电脑台式机基本就2个cpu直连的m2，所以m2接口比较珍贵，推荐2t以上的盘，这个500g做系统可以，但是以后扩展就会比较麻烦，比较鸡肋，所以是电子垃圾
