Editor's Pick: This reel feels lighter in hand than expected, with a graphite body and rotor, so your wrist won't get too tired after casting all afternoon. It works in both freshwater and saltwater, and the K.I.S.S. waterproof structure keeps water and sand out of the reel, so you can just rinse it off after a few casts at the beach. The three carbon fiber drag washers deliver 22 lbs (10 kg) of stopping power, so you can hold steady even when a bigger fish hits, and the line pays out smoothly without catching. If you're looking for a hassle-free reel to start with, check this one out.
