Editor's Pick: When the power suddenly goes out at home, just pull out this lantern and set it on the table, and the whole room lights up. The 250-lumen light is fairly even and won't just illuminate one corner. The brand says it can last up to 100 hours. Bring it camping, and it's plenty for reading or tidying up in the tent for several nights. The housing survives a drop from three feet (one meter), so you can feel confident keeping it in the car or tucking it into the bottom of your backpack.
