Editor's Pick: Since introducing their flagship Utopia headphones in 2016, French audio company Focal has established themselves as leaders in the premium headphone market. However, they've released few new products in recent years, mostly refreshing their existing lineup. In late 2022, Focal launched the Bathys, a completely new product line. Bathys is positioned as a high-end Hi-Res wireless noise-cancelling headphone, competing in a category with few rivals except B&O, B&W (and Mark Levinson, though less well-known).

The Bathys wireless over-ear headphones feature Bluetooth 5.1 and active noise cancellation technology. These headphones offer two noise cancellation modes—"Silent" mode for environments with high ambient noise, and "Soft" mode to enhance focus—providing perfect sound isolation. The headphones also include a "Transparent" mode, allowing users to hear their surroundings when necessary.
