Editor's Pick: When the fan motor on your outdoor AC unit goes bad, getting a technician to come out and replace it can be pricey, but doing it yourself really isn't that complicated. This one features a 48Y frame, a 3.42-inch (87 mm) shaft length, and a 0.5-inch (12.7 mm) shaft diameter. The wiring supports both forward and reverse rotation, and it comes with a 47-inch (119 cm) trimmable wire; simply install it following the original wiring setup. It has pure copper coils and stainless steel bearings, plus built-in thermal overload auto-reset protection, so it holds up to outdoor sun and weather. The package even includes the start capacitor, saving you from buying one separately.
