Apple has officially introduced the M6 chip in the new Mac mini. As a brand-new chip built on a 2-nanometer (2nm) process, the M6 delivers a comprehensive upgrade across all computing units, achieving significant leaps in both performance and energy efficiency.

🔹 Developer and professional video support
Developers can now leverage M6 hardware resources through frameworks like Core ML. Additionally, the new Mac mini introduces support for Genlock synchronization technology for the first time, enabling precise frame synchronization between the display and iPhone 17 Pro camera devices — making it a new powerhouse for professional video production.
The new Mac mini with the M6 chip starts at approximately $899, with pre-orders now open and official release scheduled for September 22. Also unveiled at the event were M5 Pro/Max/Ultra chip models with even more powerful performance.
