问大家
: Will an electric kettle have limescale issues?
: It depends on where you live and how hard or soft the water is. It’s not really about the machine.
回复 @iamcelia : Yeah, I bought this model, but the one they shipped wasn’t the black from the picture—it was gray and silver. If you look at the photo reviews, none of them are black. I used mine for three weeks—the shell got very hot, and the lid area was almost scalding, so because it didn’t keep the heat in, I had to reboil it multiple times and eventually returned it~~ In the past few months, only this one’s price keeps going up and down. The cheapest it was sold for was $110. I’d recommend checking out other options. During the first week, it even had a plastic smell

Rice cookers, electric kettles, water bottles—it feels like everyone around me uses them. 👍</c17093517>My family uses the rice cooker from picture 1. Recently, I found scratches on the inner pot. An inner pot on Amazon sells for $115, which is almost enough to buy a new one. Does anyone know where to buy one more affordably?</c17093996>I often hear praises about Zojirushi's quality, but I wonder if it's just my experience. </c17094941>The quality is indeed good, but it doesn't include the inner pot. Buying a single inner pot is super expensive. Alas, my family has worn out two inner pots, but the machines are still in great condition.....</c17095501>The Tiger brand inner pot also scratches. Mine has been used for seven or eight years. The inner pot is just over fifty dollars on the official website. A three-cup cooker is around one hundred seventy now, and a five-cup one is two hundred. I also checked online, and Zojirushi issued a statement saying that peeling of the inner pot coating does not affect usage, so I've been procrastinating day by day
</c17097329>I'm quite meticulous with my appliances. After washing the rice, I always make sure to dry it before putting it in to cook. Recently, I've also been debating whether to get a larger pot or just a new inner pot, because the machine itself is perfectly fine

: Is the 3-cup model enough for three people?
: Three cups of uncooked rice yields about six bowls. For two people, we cook less than 1.5 cups per meal. Haven’t tried congee in it—seems like the pot might be too small.
: My family prefers softer rice—we use 3 cups of water for 2 cups of rice. With our method, it might not be enough.

: The water control is excellent, so the rice tastes better, but I feel the type of rice also plays a role. The non-stick coating has been great for years. Previously, rice cooker coatings would typically fail and become sticky after 2-3 years.

The rice cooker and multi-functional electric grill I bought both started having coating peeling issues within less than a year. In comparison, Tiger brand products are much more durable.</c17094321>Check on eBay, or worst case, try overseas shopping. eBay上便宜都是二手的,划痕比我家还多呢,之前那个锅比较便宜,因为买不到内胆直接把整个锅都扔了然后买了新的(现在这个),现在这个内胆太贵,以后买陶瓷的好了
回复 @匿名用户 : Actually, it's not a problem with scrubbing the pot; the cloth used for scrubbing is soft. It's a problem with rinsing rice. The rice grains are too fine, and even with a rice washing basket, rice still leaks out. If you use the inner pot to wash rice for a long time, it will definitely get scratches. I've already contacted the original manufacturer to buy a new one.
: How’s the electric grill? How does the flavor compare to charcoal? Thanks!
: Charcoal definitely tastes better and more aromatic, but electric grills are convenient and healthier—charred meat can produce carcinogens. If flavor is your priority, go for charcoal.
回复 @笑看浮云 : Haven’t used Zojirushi’s, but my smokeless electric grill (another brand) produces minimal smoke.

: Need a rice cooker—which model is better?
: I’ve used one of these two models for years!
回复 @知否之绿肥 : Great, thanks so much.
: Price seems a bit different?
: How’s the electric grill? How does the flavor compare to charcoal? Thanks!
: Charcoal definitely tastes better and more aromatic, but electric grills are convenient and healthier—charred meat can produce carcinogens. If flavor is your priority, go for charcoal.
回复 @笑看浮云 : Haven’t used Zojirushi’s, but my smokeless electric grill (another brand) produces minimal smoke.
: The dual-use pot is on sale now for $129.32 (individual price seems off).
: Will it be cheaper during the October member sale? 10
: There’s a Prime Day in October—if you’re not in a hurry, maybe wait a couple of days.
: Bought this electric kettle in 2020 for nearly $100. It broke today, and the same one now costs $168
: Is this hot pot cooker good? What’s the difference between these two models?
: Works well—it’s electric but the deep pot can also be used on a stovetop. The difference is the second model includes a shallow frying pan.
: Bought the Japan-made one.
: Is there a big difference between Japan-made and others? The price is double.
: How many cups does the first model hold?
: The website says the max is 3 cups.
: Panasonic kettles are better—they can keep water at 40°C for direct drinking.
: Question: Is there a mode for electric kettles that heats water on demand instead of keeping it warm and wasting electricity?
: How much electricity could that possibly waste? lol. If you’re worried, just get one with a保温 (keep-warm) function that doesn’t boil water.
: Costco recently had a Tiger model for $89 or $99.
: Recommend a high-value rice cooker, please!
: My Zojirushi rice cooker’s inner pot coating chipped after just three uses. Since I rarely use it, the warranty expired. Where’s the best place to buy a replacement inner pot?
: The rice cooker is great 电饭煲真不错
: Nice color
: 480ml, 17 Fl OZ—a bit small
: Is the 3-cup model enough for three people?
: Three cups of uncooked rice yields about six bowls. For two people, we cook less than 1.5 cups per meal. Haven’t tried congee in it—seems like the pot might be too small.
: My family prefers softer rice—we use 3 cups of water for 2 cups of rice. With our method, it might not be enough.
: Looking to buy a rice cooker mainly for steaming rice. Any recommendations?
: Zojirushi products are all solid—just pick the size you need. But take good care of the inner pot; replacements are super expensive
回复 @大马兔爱小马虎 : The white one in the bottom left corner looks cute, but it seems like an older model. Thanks for the heads-up!

回复 @lu9999 : Ahh, I’ve never seen a Zojirushi rice cooker at Costco—only Tiger. Can I say it’s not great? Once you’ve used Zojirushi for small appliances, nothing else compares. Their rice just tastes better
: I vaguely remember reading that you shouldn’t rinse rice directly in the inner pot because it can scratch the surface... though I’ve always done it that way
