- With current T-Mobile Jump Plan, customers had to pay a $10 fee each month to upgrade smartphones frequently, but T-Mobile today announced that it has removed that fee in the newly announced JUMP! On Demand. The monthly phone payment now covers that cost, meaning it is no extra to you and it's about the same cost as its standard smartphone payment plans. Customers will now be able to get three upgrades in a single year, giving you complete freedom to have the device you want in your pocket. Basically T-mobile leases you the smartphone here and unless you damage it before returning, you don't pay anything extra. JUMP! On Demand starts this Sunday, June 28
