Samsung's newly released Galaxy Z Fold 7 is their thinnest and lightest foldable phone yet, measuring just 8.9mm thick when folded and weighing 215g. It features a 6.5-inch cover screen and an 8-inch AMOLED 2X inner display, both supporting 120Hz refresh rates. The device is powered by a custom Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor, with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage, running Android 16 + One UI 8. It includes numerous Galaxy AI features (such as instant translation and intelligent photo editing). The phone boasts a 200MP triple camera system, 4400mAh battery with 25W fast charging, and IP48 protection rating. The US version starts at $1999, with pre-orders beginning July 9th and official release on July 25th. It's positioned as a thin, large-screen AI flagship, emphasizing portability and productivity.

The smaller Galaxy Z Flip 7 is Samsung's first flip phone featuring a fully enclosed 4.1" FlexWindow cover screen and a 6.9" main screen (both supporting 120Hz refresh rates and up to 2600 nits brightness). Weighing just 188g with a folded thickness of 13.7mm, it's powered by the Exynos 2500 3nm chip with 12GB RAM. The main camera is 50MP (with OIS) and it has a 4300mAh battery that supports Samsung DeX for desktop-like experiences. It deeply integrates Galaxy AI features (such as Gemini Live, Now Brief/Bar).

As for the more affordable Flip 7 FE, it largely maintains the design of the 6th generation model, keeping the 6.7" main display, 50MP main camera and basic AI functions. However, the cover screen is reduced to 3.4" and it uses the Exynos 2400 processor with 8GB RAM and a 4000mAh battery. It still supports One UI 8 and Galaxy AI but lacks DeX functionality, focusing instead on affordability. Priced at around $899, it makes foldable screen technology accessible to more consumers.
