Best Chinese-language film in a decade! Ranked 10th at the global box office in 2026 (as of now)! This tear-jerking masterpiece, made with a budget of just over 1,400 USD (approx. 10.8 million RMB) and a cast of real people, is now hitting North America. The film primarily features dialogues in Teochew (Chaoshan dialect) and tells the story of a grandson traveling to Thailand in search of his grandfather through the narrative line of "qiao pi" (overseas remittance letters).
Tips: Make sure to choose the Teochew dialect original version with subtitles!!!
