Details uncovered by multiple media outlets from firmware and system animations show that this device uses "two inward-folding hinges" (known in the industry as the G-fold solution). It's deeply integrated with One UI 8's multi-window and continuity features, focusing on solving the experience gap of "how to naturally transition between phone and tri-screen large display" modes.

International media has now reached a relatively stable consensus about its appearance: when fully unfolded, the main screen measures approximately 9.9-10 inches, with brightness reportedly reaching 2,600 nits. The cover display when folded is around 6.5 inches. The overall approach seems less about showing off technology and more about streamlining experiences like calls, messaging, spreadsheets/PPTs, and split-screen video conferencing.

Regarding imaging capabilities, it will likely utilize the same premium camera configuration as existing high-end foldables, with leaks even specifically mentioning a "200MP main camera." For performance, it will most likely feature the top-tier Snapdragon 8 Elite platform, gaining access to the same AI and multi-device collaboration features found in the Galaxy series. On pricing, Korean channels have already set expectations at "over 4 million Korean won" (approximately $2,900), suggesting this is more of a "premium showcase" than a mass-market device.

Media sources still disagree on the release schedule and regions: some believe it will "launch in limited Asian markets first, within this year," such as Korea and China; others suggest it might "launch in the US simultaneously with Korea." From a consumer perspective, a reasonable expectation is that it's likely to be unveiled this year, but widespread availability will depend on production capacity and ecosystem integration.

: I've bought the Fold3, 4, and 6. Apart from the dust-proof strip on the hinges of the 3 and 4 getting rolled in and jamming the hinges, there haven't been any other issues. Repairs were free under warranty, and even out of warranty, it didn't affect Samsung's trade-in program. As for those complaining about the crease being "explosively" noticeable... who stares at the crease all day anyway?

: Fold 6, I won't consider foldable phones. The crease is very noticeable, don't listen to those YouTube influencers exaggerating. The crease is so obvious that one more glance would make it explode, and getting closer would melt you away🫠. I won't touch foldable screens anymore.

: The inner screen is not durable. My previous Fold4's inner screen cracked within a year, and now my Fold5 has developed fine lines on the inner screen just after the warranty expired. Replacing the inner screen costs around 500 yuan. Unless you upgrade to a new phone every year, it's better to stay away from foldable screens.
