Editor's Pick: Sony recently released a major update for PlayStation Portal: Now if you're a PS Plus Premium (the highest tier) member, you can play cloud games directly on your Portal! This means you no longer need to have your PS5 turned on at home - just connect to Wi-Fi and start playing anywhere.
Currently supported games include "Astro Bot," "Borderlands 4," "Final Fantasy VII Remake," and "Spirit of the Mountain," along with other popular AAA titles. Previously, you could play these games remotely, but your PS5 had to be on and connected to the internet. Now it's finally "untethered," allowing you to play even when you're away from home.
This update also introduces a new interface with direct game search and selection features, 3D audio support (requires PlayStation Link headphones or wired headphones), and practical features like device password protection and a network status quick menu.
The PS Portal has always had a unique position between handheld and console gaming. With this update, its functionality is more complete, offering PS5 players a perfect "second screen" + "portable cloud gaming" combination. 回复 @FLY9295 : Have you tried it? I'm saying this because I've been using cloud gaming for almost a year and have tested it in various places that claim to have high-speed public Wi-Fi.
