Dior Perfume Heritage Revival Project
Fragrance is living art. Francis Kurkdjian, Creative Director of Dior Perfumes, spent four years launching the large-scale "Dioriginals" vintage fragrance restoration project. This is not simply a "cosmetic refresh," but rather the use of modern ingredients to meticulously recreate the historical charm of 13 classic fragrances.
■ A tribute to the classics: the restoration challenge
Perfumer Francis Kurkdjian had to search historical archives for the original formulas, some of which were already held by suppliers. To meet the international regulatory deadline taking effect in January 2027 (the final countdown is now underway), some fragrances such as Eau Fraiche (1955) underwent a full-scale reworking to ensure compliance while preserving their soul and character.
■ Featured restored fragrances in detail
🔹 Dior Forever and ever, Price: $155. Created by perfumer Jean-Pierre Béthouart in 2002. Blending almond, wild rose, and musk, it evokes the pure, girlish feel of dew-kissed roses at dawn.
🔹 Dior Dolce Vita, Price: $155. A classic from 1995. With peach, rose absolute, and woody vanilla notes, it captures the elegant, mature spirit of la dolce vita.
