Movie Synopsis: Christy tells the true life story of American female boxer Christy Martin—born into an ordinary family in West Virginia, she became one of the best female professional boxers in the 1980s-90s. With fierce determination, she broke gender barriers and became the focus of women's boxing. However, her life wasn't always smooth sailing: her coach and husband Jim Martin later subjected her to severe domestic violence and attempted murder.
