Editor's Pick: BRIO, a classic Swedish toy brand with over a century of history, insists on using natural wood to craft every piece of train track, building pathways to children's dreams one piece at a time.
As we all know, BRIO is pricey—among wooden train toys, the price really isn't low. But there's a reason for the cost: superior quality that stands the test of time, making it a treasured toy that can be passed down through generations. This brand was very popular in Germany in the '70s and '80s, and today many German children can still find BRIO toys their parents played with in their grandparents' collections. Their train toys are categorized in great detail: from a baby's first train, to classic train track starter sets, to an ultra-deluxe set with 87 pieces for rich scene building. And that's not all—once you enter building mode, there are accessories for different scenes to choose from: various traffic signs and signals, train repair stations, single or double bridges, and tunnels that cut through mountains. It's truly closely tied to real-life scenarios, letting kids play immersively and joyfully. Besides scene accessories, the wide variety of trains is also a big draw. Collectible train fleets grow slowly one by one—chugga chugga, let your little trains run!
If you think BRIO is just about building and immersive play modes, you're underestimating it. Advanced players can turn a BRIO set into a brain-teasing game: when running multiple tracks simultaneously, efficient scheduling becomes crucial—no one wants collisions, so you calculate the inner and outer track routes, plan the order of vehicle movement, and test each train's speed to control the spacing between different trains. Ha, doesn't it suddenly feel like this toy is a family activity everyone can join, no longer just for kids? :) By the way, there are many expert players on social media who combine LEGO Duplo sets with BRIO trains—those interested can search for it. All kinds of advanced play methods await you to discover.
