: Stewing and steaming definitely result in different textures, but comparatively, a steamer is definitely more practical. Neither my partner nor I are particularly good at cooking, so one steamer is enough. If your household is somewhat interested in cooking, you could consider getting a stew pot, but if your situation is similar to ours, I wouldn't recommend it, as it might just end up gathering dust.

回复 @Ly000 : [捂脸哭] Need to add more water and keep trying. The double boiler is still a bit tricky to control, and it also depends on what ingredients you're stewing. I haven't mastered this skill yet.
