Language is an art. How to learn Chinese well is a common concern of many parents and learners. After several years of overseas Chinese teaching practice, I think we should focus on three aspects: cultivating learning interest, mastering learning methods and paying attention to accumulation and application.
1、 Cultivate learning interest.
"Those who know are better than those who know well, and those who know well are better than those who know well." This also shows that learning must be interested in the knowledge learned. Being interested in learning is the foundation of learning well. Learning Chinese is even more so. As long as you have an interest in learning, you will find the fun in it. Only when you find the fun in learning, can you help to study persistently. Therefore, teachers should fully mobilize students' initiative and enthusiasm in learning. Let students have a strong interest in learning, induce a strong desire for knowledge and learning motivation, so as to voluntarily invest in learning and truly change "want me to learn" into "I want to learn".
2、 Master learning methods.
Learning Chinese should achieve "four aspects and two combinations". The four aspects are: listening, speaking, reading and writing. The two combinations are "combination of reading and writing" and "combination of listening and speaking".
（1） Combination of reading and writing.
Reading is the most basic and essential means of learning any language and culture. Reading is an effective way to improve reading comprehension. It is not only reading the learned content, but also thinking and memorizing. In other words, reading should be a process of moving mouth and brain. It is a process of accumulating Chinese knowledge and cultivating Chinese language sense at the same time. Therefore, in class, we should pay attention to the reading methods given by the teacher. We should not only read the correct pronunciation, but also pay attention to the tone of reading, so as to read correctly, fluently and emotionally. Form the good habit of reading carefully.
Writing is to master the writing rules of Chinese characters on the basis of reading and write the characters neatly and normally. Not only can you copy, but also can do some dictation and dictation. And through writing to help remember, gradually achieve the purpose of flexible use. In class, students should pay attention to the writing rules instructed by the teacher and carefully imitate them. After class, they should practice more, and form the good habit of reading and writing frequently.
（2） Combination of listening and speaking.
Speaking is based on listening. As long as you speak well, you will naturally understand. Language learning is everywhere. In class, students are required to concentrate, pay attention to listening to every word of the teacher, and pay more attention to listening to every question put forward by the teacher, actively answer, and carry out necessary conversation exercises to "move" their brain and "speak" their mouth. Develop the habit of communicating in Chinese, whether in class or outside class, with teachers or classmates, so as to make yourself in a good Chinese language learning environment. If you persevere in this way, your listening and speaking ability will continue to improve.
（3）Pay attention to accumulation and application.
Knowledge is like an ocean. Learning Chinese is a long process of accumulation, not overnight, let alone overnight. It must be accumulated bit by bit. Dripping water converges into a river and gravel piles into an island. In the daily learning process, in addition to listening carefully in class, we should also carefully complete relevant homework and carry out necessary practice and review, so as to gradually digest and understand and become our own. We should be serious, meticulous and persistent for a long time.
