回复 @相约2017 : You need to activate your Costco membership first. Basically, go to the store to set up your card. I received the $50 gift card via email about 5 business days after setting it up in the store. 你要先激活Costco membership。就是去店里办你的卡。我是在店里办完大概5个工作日后收到了email给的$50 礼卡。

A simple and straightforward calculation is to see if the cashback you get from spending at Costco annually (calculated at 2%) can cover the price difference between the two cards, which is $65. If your household spends more than $3,250 per year, then the Executive Membership (Black Card) is better. If not, just go for the Gold Membership without overthinking it. 对基本上就是2%返现的差别，简单粗暴的算一下就是看你每年花在costco的钱如果按2%返现后，得的钱能不能弥补这两张卡的差价，65刀了，如果每年你家花多过$3250的话，开黑卡比较好，如果花不到的话就直接无脑金卡就行。

My Member ID changed because of the credit card application. I asked customer service if there would be any conflict, and she said no—I’d receive two $50 gift cards. The sender was something like National Membership Digital (digital@costco.com), which was easy to overlook.
