Hades is an action role-playing roguelike game developed and published by Supergiant Games. Players take on the role of Zagreus, the son of Hades, who embarks on a journey to escape the Underworld and find his birth mother. With his immortal body and the help of the Olympian gods, he grows stronger with each attempt and eventually discovers his life's purpose. Thanks to its outstanding art, rich narrative, and satisfying combat, the game has been beloved by players since its testing phase through to its official release. By retelling familiar Greek mythology through a unique perspective (including divine family dynamics), Hades has won numerous awards including DICE and GDC Game of the Year, as well as the 2021 Hugo Award for "Best Video Game" and the 55th Nebula Award for "Best Game Writing."

It's been five years since the game's 1.0 release, and the development team has released a newly remixed version of the theme song "In the Blood." The game is currently available at a new all-time low price on Steam and the Nintendo Switch US store, and will be joining Xbox Game Pass on the 19th.

The sequel, Hades II, which focuses on the Underworld princess Melinoë, will be officially released on September 25th when it exits Early Access! Launch platforms include Steam / Epic / Nintendo Switch 1&2, all priced at $29.99. The game will be a timed console exclusive on Nintendo Switch, with Switch 2 docked mode supporting 1080P at 120fps, making it quite a showcase title.

Hades II began early access last May, and participating players know that Supergiant Games releases major update-level patches regularly. By July this year, they've already released Patch 11, with playable content and areas having increased several times over.
