Major iPhone Duo Production/Quality Failures? CEO Responds Officially
According to Reuters, Apple CEO John Ternus acknowledged yesterday (November 2) after the earnings call that it's currently impossible to predict when supply and demand for the iPhone Duo will reach balance. With demand far exceeding expectations, there's no clear timeline for restocking.
| Item | Current Status (as of November 2) |
| Estimated delivery on official website | January 2027 |
| In-store appointments | Extremely low inventory, hard to find in stock |
| Production progress | Ramping up capacity, but no restock date yet |
Regarding display issues reported by some users, Ternus noted that only a very small percentage of devices have inner screen problems, and Apple is currently offering replacement service for those affected users.
⚠️ Quality & After-Sales Reminder
- ▫️ Issue Confirmed: Apple confirmed last week that some devices have internal display cracks or abnormalities.
- ▫️ Recommended Solution: If your device experiences display issues, contact AppleCare immediately for technical support.
Despite the Duo supply shortage, Apple's September quarter revenue still hit a record $114.5 billion (up 12% year-over-year). Since the Duo launched after this reporting period, its sales figures are not included in this report.
