Modern phone systems are designed for long-term operation, and cache allows frequently used apps to open instantly. But when memory management reaches a critical point, app crashes or abnormal battery drain can follow:

The biggest "hidden feature" of restarting is related to security. The NSA recommends restarting weekly to defend against some zero-click attacks, but for regular users, the most valuable aspect is the BFU (Before First Unlock) state.

After restarting your phone and before entering your password, the system enters a highly encrypted BFU mode. At this point, encryption keys are not stored in the RAM cache, making it extremely difficult for forensic tools to extract data.
