The exhibition X-Ray: The Power of Seeing Through is set inside the Völklinger Hütte steelworks, where the industrial ruins resemble a cross-section of the industrial age. Since Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen discovered X-rays in 1895, humanity gained the ability to see the invisible. More than a century later, this German-curated exhibition transforms technology into a philosophical reflection: as society becomes increasingly obsessed with revealing and analyzing everything, can we still preserve a private space free from observation? This century-long rational inquiry reflects the unique character of German industrial civilization and scientific thought.
